In the UK alone over 10 million people smoke and 100,000 people die each year from smoking-related causes.
This year, in conjunction with The British Heart Foundation, No Smoking Day will be held on 12th March. Since the campaign started in 1983, the number of smokers in the UK has halved, but there is still a long way to go before the habit is crushed completely.
With the price of cigarettes increasing and the devastating effect smoking has on health more widely advertised than ever, smoking is no longer the fashionable habit it was once portrayed to be.
After only 24 hours without a cigarette your lungs naturally begin to clear out mucus and other smoking debris and the average smoker will save approximately £8. The benefits of kicking the habit are clear, but what will be your motivation? A healthier you or a wealthier you?
Sue Turner has a high success rate in helping clients break the habit, with many new clients being sent by recommendation. Determined to help, Sue will be giving free talks on the negative effects of smoking, the benefits of quitting and some advice on how achieve your goal on Wednesday 12th March.
